Tanjiro and Naruto’s Shared Tragedy: Orphaned Similarities

Tanjiro Kamado and Naruto Uzumaki are the main characters of their respective animes—former of “Demon Slayer” and later of “Naruto.” Both animes are considered the best of their era. If you have watched any of the animes or both, you might be wondering, is there really anything common between Tanjiro and Naruto? Well, I am here for that reason. Below, I will mention plenty of similarities between the two characters.

Unlike Naruto, Tanjiro used to get good respect from people and his family as he was the one who worked very hard to meet the daily requirements of his family. However, they still have a lot in common.

Both Tanjiro and Naruto developed their characters immensely. Both of these worked very hard to attain some specific feat. For Tanjiro, it was to attain some cure for his sister, Nezuko, who was turned into a demon by some demons.

The journey of both these characters involves fatal fights with their strong opponents. Both Tanjiro and Naruto are very kind-hearted characters. They always give their best to protect their loved ones. Like in “Demon Slayer,” Tanjiro protects his sister even after she was turned into a demon. He didn’t let her sister die, either at the hands of corps or demons. In Naruto anime, Naruto protects his loved ones with all his life. In the very beginning of episodes, we have seen kid Naruto protecting his teacher, Iruka Sensei, from Mizuki. Apart from that scene, we have seen Naruto protecting his loved ones infinite times.

Both of the characters joined some academies to hone their skills. Naruto joined Ninja academy to become a splendid Ninja, and Tanjiro joined the Demon Slayer Corps to kill demons. As the series of “Demon Slayer” and “Naruto” went on, both these characters became very strong and were idolized by many other characters. In the midst of the series, we have seen both the characters are incredibly good when it comes to making new friends. Both Tanjiro and Naruto are often sent on different missions. Former to kill demons and make this world demon-free. Later to guard some little villages from invaders or to rescue the victim from rogue shinobi’s.

The good thing in their similarities is that both attained their respective feats in their animes. Towards the end of the anime, Naruto becomes Hokage and is loved by many. On the other hand, Tanjiro saves his sister from the demonic curse and turns her back into human form.

As there are many similarities between Tanjiro and Naruto, it makes both of them, though not equally, loved by all anime fans.
