Lift Movie Plot

The movie, LIFT, revolves around a mission to lift gold worth $500 million from a passenger plane that is on its way to a terrorist cell. One thing that makes it interesting is that the heist has to take place in the air at 40,000 feet.

The trailer released by Netflix shows how Cyrus Whitaker (Hart) is forced by the government to sign a contract for the mission – To pull off $500 million worth of gold from a plane in mid-air. The agencies agreed to turn a blind eye to his past crimes.

The movie also features Úrsula Corberó as Camila. She was also a partner in heist as Tokyo in Money Heist.

“Half a billion in gold is on its way to a terrorist cell. We got to steal it mid-flight, 40,000 feet in the air,” Hart tells to his crew members.

“If we do not do this, we will go to Jail. Just treat this like any other lift,” Hart instructs them in the trailer. It will be a very challenging heist as the crew has to carry out this mission in mid-air.

The movie was set to be released in August. However, now Netflix has postponed its release date to 12 January 2024. No official statement has come out as to why it was delayed.
