Is Dragon Ball Super coming back with Season 2?

Dragon Ball Super’s return to the scenes may be around the corner if the rumors are true.

Well, let’s first talk about Dragon Ball Super and how popular it got with all its mesmerizing and stupendous new heights of powers like the Super Saiyan God, Blue, and best of all, Ultra Instinct. It’s a progression with all those crazy characters of old that we’re familiar with, like Goku and Vegeta, and new characters like Black Goku, Jiren, Granolah, Broly, etc. Although my favorite, Gohan, wasn’t visible at first, he got back in the Tournament of Power, thanks to Akira Toriyama xd.

Dragon Ball Super follows the timeframe of the original Dragon Ball series and showcases the adventures of Son Goku and co. in the 10-year time skip after Majin-Buu’s defeat. All that fighting action and all those terrific arcs that we get to witness like Universe Survival, Golden Frieza, and the much-anticipated Battle of Gods and, of course, probably everyone’s favorite, the Future Trunks arc, where we get to see the new Goku Black, one of my favorite characters, with his evil powers and the magnificent story behind it makes it such a wonderful anime to watch.

So, is Dragon Ball Super coming back, and when is it going to?

Well, we don’t quite know the release date yet, but through some, it’s expected to come back, and maybe in the backend of 2023 and will likely be streamrolled on Fuji TV and CrunchyRoll as well.

According to an interview given by Florence Jay Dominguito, a member of Toei Animation Philippines for the official Dragon Ball website, he spoke about Dragon Ball Super and said:

As a fan, I’m really looking forward to new movies and merchandise. I’m also excited about the new anime that will continue Dragon Ball Super.”

Also, we got to know through some Twitter leakers that the production of Season 2 of Dragon Ball Super is commencing and will be released in the latter part of the year. Moreover, according to some other Twitter handles, Akira Toriyama, the creator of the original Dragon Ball manga, is part of the team for Season 2.

Also, its cast includes Masako Nozawa, Ryo Horikawa, Hiromi Tsuru, Koichi Yamadera, Takeshi Kusao, Yuko Minaguchi, Naoko Watanabe, and Kozo Shioya.

So good luck and keep an eye on it and do not miss to watch the Season 2.
